Michael Limbrey

Partner, Commercial Property department

Michael is a Partner in the Commercial Property department. He joined the firm as part of a merger with Shrewsbury based Moss and Poulson in 2009.

Michael is a member of the Law Society and Clarity, an international association promoting plain legal language.


Michael lives in Oswestry and has been involved for over thirty years in the campaign to restore the nearby Montgomery Canal. He is Chairman of the Montgomery Waterway Restoration Trust and was awarded MBE for services to waterways in 2003. The Montgomery Canal runs through parts of Shropshire. Restoration of the canal has enhanced local properties and resulted in an increase in local business.

He sums up his approach to work by stating: "As a solicitor, my task is to achieve a result my clients want, in a practical and pragmatic way. The result has to be more important than the process, and may involve “thinking out of the box”. I want my clients to understand what I have been doing for them, so any documentation should be well-presented and in language that is certain in meaning and easy to understand."

Employment: Completed his articles in Great Malvern, Worcestershire, and became a Partner in Moss and Poulson in 1976. Michael joined Linder Myers as part of the merger with the firm in 2009.
